Autumn holidays 2026: three basketball camps near Arzier

Jeunes joueurs lors d’un camp de basket pendant les vacances scolaires

The autumn holidays start on 19 October. For most children that means two weeks without training — and for some, two weeks is a long time. If the ball comes back out of the bag after three days, a camp can be a good answer: different coaches, different players, and a week of playing from morning to evening.

Three organisations in the region are running a camp during the first week of the holidays. Children we know have already taken part, and the feedback we have received from several parents is good. Here is what you need to compare before choosing.

StrideYourPassion — Nyon / Eysins

This is the closest one: Eysins is right next to Nyon, just down the hill from Arzier. For many families in the village and along La Côte, it is the easiest camp to fit into a week.

The day runs from 9:00 to 16:00, with drop-off from 8:30 and supervision until around 16:30 — enough to make the week work around a job. The programme mixes individual development, technical fundamentals, age-appropriate physical preparation, game situations, contests and a 3x3 tournament. Groups are organised by age and level.

Red Devils Morges–St-Prex

The Red Devils camp covers a much wider age range: 6 to 18 years, all levels. The youngest work on mini-basket, the older ones alternate technical work, skill development, game situations, games and tournaments.

Two things to know before signing up. First the venue: the club announces the Etoy sports centre (La Tuilière) or the Cherrat hall in St-Prex, and the final location will depend on how the camp is organised. Then the price: when we gathered this information it had not been published yet, and registration was not yet open. The club's official page remains the reference.

Lionceaux Basket — Geneva / Grand-Saconnex

Lionceaux works in groups: mini-basket for the youngest, a beginners group, and a Skills group for more experienced players. The content follows the level — discovery and fundamentals on one side, individual technique, adapted physical work, games and Skills exercises on the other. Activities and appearances linked to the Lions de Genève punctuate the week.

Registration is open. The day is supervised from 8:30 to 17:00 — drop-off, morning session, lunch and quiet time, afternoon session — with childcare available until 18:00 under certain conditions. Lunch and snacks are included in the price, along with a jacket for children attending all five days and an invitation to a Lions de Genève league game.

Watch out for the venue: it depends on the group. Mini-basket takes place at the École du Pommier in Grand-Saconnex; the Beginners and Skills groups are at the Collège Sismondi in Geneva. So not every child is in the same hall.

The organiser lists the Skills & Advanced price as “to be confirmed” for this particular week.

A special mention for Lionceaux Basket. The feedback we have received from parents whose children have already attended their camps is particularly good: the supervision, the atmosphere, the quality of the sessions and the attention given to each child come up again and again. The player's level is taken into account, and technical progress shows over the week. For a young player who is genuinely passionate about basketball, it is clearly worth a look.

Before you book

This information was gathered from the organisers at the end of August 2026. Dates, times, prices and venues may still change: each camp's official page is the reference, and that is also where registration takes place.

A week at a camp obviously does not replace the work done with your own team during the season. But it means meeting other players, working with other coaches and, quite simply, playing more. And sometimes, for a young player who loves the game, five days with a ball in their hands are simply very good holidays.
